Loveland High School teacher Scott Burke was named one of five finalists for 2016 Safety Educator of the Year. The Safety Educator of the Year Award, sponsored by CareerSafe, recognizes exceptional educators who have not only dedicated their time to prepare students for the future but to also help students recognize and mitigate workplace hazards in their chosen careers. The winning educator will be announced at CareerTech Vision's Association for Career and Technical Education (ACTE) Awards Banquet on November 30, 2016. The award includes a $5,000 cash prize for the classroom and an all-expenses paid trip to the ACTE CareerTech Vision conference.
